John Bralower is a New York based investment banker, developer, investor, attorney and conservationist who has completed over $50 billion of transactions in and/or with capital from the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Roles have included CEO, Managing Director, Partner , Management Committee and Board Member.

Major transactions include the acquisition of the Savoy Hotel Group, London (Claridge’s, The Connaught, The Savoy, The Berkeley, The Lygon Arms), the sale of the Westin St. Francis hotel, the acquisition of a 25 hotel 5-Star European hotel portfolio (including the Gritti Palace and Danieli in Venice, The Principe di Savoia in Milan, Le Meurice in Paris and the Grand in Rome), the sale of New York’s Plaza and Palace Hotels and arranging the joint venture between Universal Studios Orlando and Loews Hotels.

Investment ,development and/or advisory projects include Six Senses London, Villa d'este, Lake Como, The XI, New York , the Southampton Inn and the Paramour Estate ,LA.

He has also completed several billion dollars of office, retail, residential and mixed use transactions including the $450 million capitalization for the acquisition and repositioning of the J. C. Penney headquarters in Dallas and the $840 million capitalization for the acquisition and conversion of Manhattan House, the largest single asset residential transaction in history.

An avid conservationist, Mr. Bralower has been privileged to combine his knowledge of environmental law, particularly as it relates to conservation easement with his capital markets experience in order to protect thousands of acres and several historic buildings through easements, purchases and conservation development.

Mr. Bralower is a founder and Vice Chairman of the North Shore Land Alliance and Chairman of the Village of Oyster Bay Cove Planning Board. He is a board member of the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund, a full member of the Urban Land Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and was a member of the advisory board of the Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management at New York University. He graduated from George Washington University, Fordham Law School and is a member of the New York State Bar.
