Over a career spanning more than 25 years in the communications sector, Jean-François Lorrain has held vice president positions in finance and operations at renowned companies such as Télémédia, Astral, and Bell Média. Over the years, he has gained solid experience in various strategic functions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate integration, planning, and performance management. A dynamic manager, known for his entrepreneurial spirit and decision-making ability, he also assumed significant responsibilities from 2015 to 2021 as Executive Vice President of Finance at Attraction Média, a prominent company in Quebec's media and entertainment sector. At the end of 2021, he joined PBSC Solutions Urbaines Inc. as CFO to collaborate on its sale to the public company Lyft Inc. Driven by entrepreneurship, he has invested in several startups in recent years. More recently, he decided to offer financial consulting services and devote more time to the success of the companies he has invested in.
Throughout his 30-year career, he has led finance and IT teams, served on various executive committees, boards of directors, and audit committees. He has been responsible for defining and executing strategic plans and has led several mergers and acquisitions projects. Before joining PBSC Solutions, he served as Executive Vice President of Finance at Attraction, Vice President of Finance for radio, out-of-home, and local and French television at Bell Média, Vice President of Operations for Astral radio Quebec, and Vice President of Finance and Administration for Astral radio. Among his many achievements throughout his career, he has overseen a nationwide team of 140 employees responsible for finance and accounting, integrated financial teams following acquisitions, coordinated a project to implement a culture of innovation, and supervised a team of ten general managers of radio stations. A member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec, Jean-François Lorrain holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), specializing in financial accounting. He also co-chaired the 24h de Tremblant charity event from 2015 to 2019, which aims to help children, and was a member of the Astral Media pension committee and treasurer of the Harold Greenberg Fund of Bell Média.
